Acceleration Bay is pleased to announce it's project work in Edge Computing projects.

The projects center on video and mobile edge application development.

Leveraging its patent-backed venture model, our first projects are Edge Video and PhoneTorrent.

"We are very excited about the entire Edge Computing market" Said Joe Ward, President and CEO of Acceleration Bay. "As the world of cloud computing is becoming eclipsed by Edge Computing, we are very excited about our patent-backed ventures model and specifically, the Edge Video and PhoneTorrent projects.

Centered on streaming, realtime data such as video, sensors, RFID and gaming, the companies projects leverage the robust IP portfolio which enables broadcast communications in multi-device network.

Edge Video takes a stream from a node on the Internet and is able to receive the video stream and re-transmit the video from the edge user leveraging unused upload capacity. The technology uses a stream chunking and reconstruction technology on the edge to manage the re-transmission. Typically, re-transmission may only be 1/4 of the video frames received.

PhoneTorrent is a mobile networking technology to build virtual cell phone networks using Acceleration Bay's Edge Computing technology combined with ad-hoc WIfi and BlueTooth 5.0.

The networking technology creates broadcast channels for phones and applications to communicate in realtime.

The company plans to announce is supported range of open source technology platforms to compliment in the near future.
